EZiCoax is a single piece, spring loaded compression mount RF coax designed to transmit signals between two PCBs at frequencies of up to 40 GHz. Unlike traditional coaxial or connector based solutions, EZiCoax is fully integrated into the PCB and requires no soldering or mating connectors, significantly simplifying assembly while improving long term reliability.
The design supports high density layouts with a 3.0 mm pitch and a low profile height down to 3.30 mm, making it ideal for space constrained applications. Its double ended, fully compliant spring probe technology absorbs both axial (Z axis) and radial (X/Y) misalignment, protecting PCBs from stress and damage during mating and demating. Low mating forces, approximately 5 oz per coax, further enhance mechanical robustness.
Electrical performance is equally impressive, with insertion loss better than –1 dB and proven operation in harsh environments. EZiCoax is qualified to ESA ESCC 3402 standards and is deployed in demanding defence and space applications, including radar and satellite, with antenna phased array.
