Aerco recognises that the current conflict in the Middle East has a potential to impact on
supply chains. We have evaluated these impacts on Aerco at present as follows:
Aerco does not have any direct suppliers in the middle east regions and does not rely on
incoming sea carriage through the Strait of Hormuz or the Red Sea.
To date, we have not received any notifications directly from the manufacturers we
represent of shortages, delays or price changes but with higher fuel and energy costs
affecting us all, this is one cost more likely to be passed on to the consumer the longer the
conflict continues, affecting all goods being transported around the world.
Aerco would encourage its customers to protect supply chain continuity by placing larger
orders as a contingency and to secure stock availability. Aerco can also discuss how we
might be able to utilise our Call Off orders facility to help ensure security of ongoing supply
in the future.
