Def-Stan 61-12 Cable and Wire
ATAG manufactures a complete range of multi-stranded equipment wires and cables conforming with Def Stan 61-12 Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6.
These wires and cables are intended for high-intensity wiring within enclosures and to inter-connect electronic equipments.
Since the original Def Stan specifications were published designers have taken advantage of these very successful products in many other applications where resilience and reliability are required. Further, as equipment chemistry has advanced, extensions to the specifications have included additional insulating materials.
Multi-Strand Wire:
- Hookup Wire for internal wiring.
- Military and industrial applications.
- PVC Insulation and tinned copper conductor.
- Conforms to BS4808
- Type 1 max 750V AC -15°C to +85°C.
- Type 2 max 1000V AC -15°C to +85°C.
- Type 3 max 1500V AC -20°C to +85°C.
- Available in 12 colours plus striped insulation.
Part 4 Cable 7-2-XX:
- Multicore cables with 7x0.20mm tinned copper stranded wires.
- Military and industrial applications.
- External insulation PVC, Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) or Polyurethane.
- Default black external, other colours available.
Part 5 Cable 16-2-XX:
- Multicore cables with 16x0.20mm tinned copper stranded wires.
- Military and industrial applications.
- External insulation PVC, Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) or Polyurethane.
- Default black external, other colours available.
