Binder Sub-Miniature Connectors

Binder’s sub-miniature offering covers a number of connector series all providing excellent performance in a compact design. There is the widest range of locking mechanisms available: – snap-in, push-pull, bayonet and M9 screw locking, with some of the push-pull versions having a diameter as small as 9.5mm, sealing on cable diameters as low as 3mm, and accepting AWG 26 wire sizes.

Gold plated contacts ensure mating cycles of between 500 and 1000 matings, and variations of rear sealing nuts and o-ring seals enable environmental protection up to IP67. EMI/RFI shielded versions are available , and throughout the various ranges there are choices for different styles of contacts. Finally, to complete the offering, there are a number of overmoulded versions which provide ease of use and assembly and ensure that the user can have complete confidence in a guaranteed performance.

Binder Sub-Minitature

SNAP-IN IP40. SERIES 709/719

  • Snap-in locking allows for quick connection and damage free disconnection if snagged
  • 3-5 contacts
  • Solder contacts, or dip solder versions for PCB use
  • Cable clamp option
  • Series 709 provides an overmoulded version
  • Low cost, easy to use, IP40 solution

SNAP-IN 1P67. SERIES 620

  • Snap-in locking for ease of use
  • O-ring seal and rear compression seal provide IP67 performance, allowing use in more demanding environments.
  • 3-8 contacts, with the 3 way having contacts rated to 3A
  • Will seal on cables up to 5mm
  • Solder and dip solder termination
  • Gold plated contacts, 500 + mating cycles
  • Cable to cable connection, with overmoulded versions included
  • Flange mount option is front mounted, but can be rear or flush mounted via the addition of panel adaptors
  • Colour coded options available

BAYONET IP40. SERIES 710

  • Secure bayonet locking on a connector only 12mm in diameter
  • 2-8 contacts, solder termination
  • The 2 & 3 way versions have contacts rated at 4A
  • Cable to cable and cable to panel applications

BAYONET NCC IP67. SERIES 670

  • Bayonet locking system meeting 1000 mating cycles
  • IP67 when mated
  • Spring loaded insert in the receptacle half provides IP54 protection when unmated, without the need of a protective cap
  • 5 way only
  • Solder and dip solder contacts

PUSH-PULL MICRO IP67. SERIES 420

  • The smallest of Binder’s connector offerings – just 9.5mm diameter on the cable half
  • Designed for applications where space is tight and access is restrictive.
  • Can be mated and un-mated with a simple finger movement, but more secure locking than snap-in versions.
  • IP67 when mated, and rated up to 1000 mating cycles
  • 3,4 & 5 way versions
  • Wire size AWG 26
  • Solder contacts

PUSH-PULL IP67. SERIES 430

  • Secure locking and ease of use as per series 420, but larger diameter (14.5mm) allows for up to 8 contacts
  • Contacts rated up to 4A in the 3 way version
  • IP67 when mated, 500 mating cycles
  • Plastic shell , but inner metal body facilitates braid termination for EMI/RFI protection

M9 SCREW LOCKING IP40. SERIES 711

  • M9 X 0.5 threaded locking
  • Solder & dip solder termination
  • Panel receptacle available with pre-terminated flexible PCB
  • Extra size over more commonly used M8 version allows for up to 8 contacts

M9 SCREW LOCKING IP67. SERIES 712/702

  • M9 x 0.5 threaded locking
  • 2-8 ways, 500 mating cycles
  • Solder & dip solder contacts
  • O-ring and rear seal provide IP67 protection
  • Panel receptacle available with pre-terminated flexible PCB
  • 90˚ and EMI/RFI shielded versions give greater design options over series 711
  • Series 702 provides an overmoulded solution, also available in straight or 90˚
