Designed for real‑time control, each unit includes dual 24 V DC inputs and integrated ring redundancy, delivering failsafe operation even during a power or link event. Three optical variants, single‑mode, multimode and plastic fibre allow you to balance reach, cost and resilience, while built‑in LED diagnostics and analogue signal‑strength outputs make commissioning straightforward. The headline model today is the OZD Profi 12M series. This new‑generation electrical/optical converter supports PROFIBUS data rates up to 12 Mbit/s, offers quartz‑glass fibre connections and is approved for use in hazardous Zone 2/Class I, Div 2 areas. Its repeater functionality not only extends network length but also provides galvanic isolation and automatic fault localisation, helping maintenance teams restore service fast.
