Amphenol Rhino 38999

Amphenol’s Rhino series brings together the mechanical strength of the MIL-DTL-38999 specification with low-resistance hyperbolic RADSOK® contacts, creating a connector family designed for high-power and high-voltage applications.

Centred around the circular Rhino 38999, the range offers current capacities of up to 1000A within a familiar MIL-DTL-38999-style shell. The wider series includes a Lite version, an option with HVIL contacts, a rectangular multi-pole format, an easy-mating push-pull connector, and a reverse-bayonet variant. This breadth allows engineers to select the format best suited to their power, safety, and space requirements.

The Rhino 38999 delivers dependable field performance. Its tri-start thread coupling mechanism ensures secure mating in high-vibration environments, supported by an anti-decoupling ratchet for added security. The connector provides strong EMC performance and achieves IP68 sealing when mated, offering reliable protection against dust and water ingress.

A low-profile design enables installation in confined spaces, making the Rhino series suitable for a range of defence, industrial, and heavy-duty environments.
