70 years have flown by

Bill Laughton founded Aerco on 28^th September 1956. We are fortunate to have a copy of an article he wrote a couple of years before that, in which he expressed the belief that a concentration on high-quality products and prompt, available service will keep customers coming back to you. Working from the iconic Beehive building at Gatwick Airfield, he also envisioned a service which would entail the assembly of cables and connectors for customers in the aviation business. Bill always led from the front, insisting on using his own personal effort to consult the customer, assemble what they needed, and get things right first time.

I’m proud to be continuing in Bill’s steps. Ably supported by my wife Fiona and sons Harry and James, we contribute every day to delivering these ongoing values, and we have a great team around us, many of them having been with Aerco for years, benefiting from Bill’s leadership and mentoring. Personally, I’m excited now to be working on AI initiatives for the business that will help us deliver high-quality and prompt service to our customers. But the old-fashioned values remain. We will continue to answer the phone personally and seek to visit our customers face-to-face as often as we can.
