Created in the 1930’s the UHF series is the grandfather of all the standard coaxial connector ranges still in use today. It is a basic screw coupled connector without controlled impedance for use on frequencies up to 200MHz only. Used on low frequency radio communications equipment it has been a popular coaxial connector for many years with the ’ham radio’ fraternity, but there are still some requirements mainly as replacement spares in industry.
