Panasonic

Panasonic offer a vast range of high frequency electromechanical relays. The popular types include the RD SPDT relays, RD TRANSFER relays, RJ relays and RE (SMD) relays. Other high frequency relays include RA relays, RX relays, RK relays, RP relays and RS relays.

RD SPDT / RD TRANSFER high frequency coaxial relays are RoHS compliant and feature an impedance 50Ω and frequency of up to 26.5GHz (18GHz). SPST high power version is also available. Typical applications for the RD coaxial relays include wireless and mobile communications (cellular phone base stations and amplifier switching), digital broadcasting (broadcasting relay station and broadcasting equipment), measurement instruments and all types of inspection equipment.

RA relay is a surface-mounted model and in addition to having excellent high frequency properties, it can use a microstrip line in the base circuit design, which spares the labour of machining the base. With an impedance of 50Ω, this RoHS compliant relay can be used in applications as measurement instruments (oscilloscope attenuator circuit).

RJ shielded high frequency relays have surface mount terminals and can be found in applications that include the measuring equipment market (attenuator circuits, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope), mobile telecommunication market (IMT2000, microwave communication) and medical instrument market. Impedance 50Ω. Up to 8GHz

RX relays are 3 GHz small microwave high frequency relays that are RoHS compliant. This shielded high frequency relay had impedance 50Ω and can be used in typical applications like cellular phone base station (W-CDMA, FPLMTS, IMT-2000, PCS, DCS), cellular phone-related measurement devices (SP3T/ SP4T switches, etc), wireless LAN and wireless local loop.

RE (SMD) high frequency relays are small microwave relays that have an impedance of 50/75Ω up to 2.6GHz. These compact and slim relays are available in surface mount terminal and PCB versions. RE relays are used in applications that include broadcasting and video markets (digital broadcasting market and STB/tuner market etc) and the communications market (antennae switching and all types of wireless devices).

RK relays are 1.5 GHz microwave relays with excellent high frequency characteristics. Impedance 50/75Ω. Latching types are available. RoHS compliant with typical applications that include audio visual equipment (broadcast satellite tuners VCRs, CATVs, TVs), communication equipment (automobile telephones, maritime telephones, emergency and disaster prevention communications, PCM switches) and instrumentation (test equipment and measuring equipment).

RP relays are high frequency relays with the low profile of 4mm. These RoHS compliant relays have an impedance of 50Ω up to 1.8GHz. Typical applications of the RP relays are antenna switching of mobile phone, switching signal of measuring equipment and all types of compact wireless devices.

RS relays are up to 3 GHz microwave relays. Features include miniature size and lineup includes surface-mount terminal type and reversed contact type that gives design freedom as the N.O and N.C contacts are switched. Applications include broadcasting and video markets (digital broadcasting market and STB/tuner market etc), mobile phone base stations, communications market (antennae switching and all types of wireless devices) and measurement equipment market) spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope, etc).
