Three-in-one backshell provides excellent shielding and inventory reduction |

Now available from Aerco is a composite, swing-arm strain relief backshell from Glenair that provides high levels of EMI/RFI shielding while reducing inventory because it adjusts and locks quickly into one of three positions and so is effectively a three-in-one part.
This patented backshell provides lightweight and corrosion-free termination of EMI/RFI cable shielding and is quickly becoming established as the standard shielded termination device for both military and commercial aerospace applications. It is made from high-temperature, composite thermoplastic with a self-locking rotatable coupling and a choice of integrated nickel/copper or DuPontTM Aracon® EMI/RFI shield sock. The backshell nut is internally plated to give connector grounding.
Available from Aerco on a two to three week lead-time with no minimum order quantities, this innovative backshell offers easy installation and outstanding performance in terms of weight and cost reduction. It is performance tested to AS85049 mechanical and electrical standards.
