Now available from Aerco is the Series 700, a range of extremely rugged inductive sensors from Contrinex that sets new standards in reliability, strength and sensing distance. The whole sensor, including the sensing face, is machined from a single piece of stainless steel and can thus withstand extreme impact, high shock levels and is resistant to almost any chemical stress.

In addition, the use of patented, sensor technology known as Condet® produces a sensing distance that is three times that of conventional sensors and is stable over its full temperature range from -25ºC to +70ºC.

The ruggedness and sensitivity of the sensors in the S700 range make them suitable for most types of applications and they are ideal for aggressive manufacturing environments. An important feature is that all sensors in the S700 range operate on ferrous magnetic metals as well as non-ferrous metals, providing they have a good level of conductivity detecting all these metals at roughly the same distance. The ability of sensing aluminium at the same position as steel resolves a long standing issue of part detection when handling alloy products in the automotive and manufacturing industry.

The range is available in both embeddable and non-embeddable formats in M12, M18 and M30 sizes and special versions are available for the marine and food industries.
