Now available from Aerco are four ranges of ATEX approved explosion proof switches from Honeywell that are designed for use in both indoor and outdoor hazardous environments.
To comply with explosion proof requirements, the flame path within the housing is designed to contain and cool the potentially dangerous escaping gases. Honeywell has manufactured explosion proof switches for many years. These have met UL requirements and Honeywell are one of the first companies to comply with the new ATEX directive that came into force on July 1st 2003.
Of the six ranges of explosion proof switches made by Honeywell, four carry ATEX approval. The BX and CX series are large, weather-sealed limit switches designed for outdoor use while the GX and 14CE100 series are smaller enclosed switches for indoor use.
The switches will be ideal for applications in petrochemical plants, waste treatment facilities, power generation plants and hazardous material handling. |
