ABCIRP connectors in stock at Aerco
Aerco now supplies from stock, on a quick turnaround with no MOQs, the ABCIRP range of rail industry connectors from AB Connectors.

ABCIRP connectors are approved to the French rail specification N.F.F. 61030, which means they can be used by sub-contractors on any train operated by SNCF, the French Mass-Transit Authority. The range is derived from Mil-C-5015 and VG95234 specifications and is designed specifically for the demanding environments of railway and mass transportation.

These high-performance connectors have a positive lock, quick disconnect, reverse-bayonet coupling mechanism that ensures fast and reliable mating and un-mating, a feature that minimises maintenance time, an important consideration for the rail industry. In addition, the use of a stepped wire sealing grommet means there is no need to populate unused cavities with filler plugs and this and the ease of contact insertion reduces cabling and wiring costs.

The contacts are retained by a unique beryllium copper spring clip that, together with the secure bayonet locking mechanism, ensures a high degree of vibration and shock resistance that means there is no need for costly and time consuming wire locking.

Low fire hazard thermoplastic insulators are used to meet critical safety requirements and the insulators are removable, allowing flexibility for re-orientation or providing additional capacity at a later date. ABCIRP connectors are resistant to fuel oils and solvents and operate at temperatures between -55ºC and +125ºC.
