
Cambion currently offer two patch cords, 445-3306 and 445-3705 series.
The 445-3306 series is a .040" (1.02mm) patch cord available in a variety of lengths from 4 to 12 inches (101.6 to 304.8mm). The plug used is 460-3308-01-03-00, the wire is 20 AWG, made up of 7 strands of 28 AWG, with Teflon insulation. The plug is attached to the wire using a 4 point military type crimp. The body of the plug is insulated using heat shrink tubing after assembly. The plug is usually gold plated and the wire available in a choice of colours with black, red and blue as standard.
The 445-3705 series is a .040" (1.02mm) stackable patch cord - patch cords can be plugged into each other to utilise common signals on a board. The patch cord is built around cage jack number 450-3302-01-03-00. Wire used is 26 AWG made up of 19 strands of 38 AWG wire with a vinyl insulation. The wire is soldered into the plug and held firm by the polypropylene moulding material. This moulded insulator is colour matched with the wire insulation and can be supplied in any colour with black, red and blue being standard.
