Cambion pins are manufactured to mate with the relevant cage jack. They are manufactured to a tolerance of +- .001" (0.025mm) to ensure consistency of insertion and extraction forces when mated with cage jacks. Pins are normally manufactured from brass and usually gold plated although electro-tin plating is an increasingly common option.
