The BT3000 medium intensity LED beacon is designed to replace medium intensity xenon strobe units and meets ICAO and W-Red requirements. With 20000cd white flashing light day and 170 or 2000cd red flasing or steady burn light night, the BT3000 can be operated as: 

Type A - 20000cd white light day and2000cd white light night. 

Type A/B - 20000cd white light day and2000cd red flashing light night. 

Type A/C - 20000cd white light day and2000cd red steady burn light night.

Type A/W-Red - 20000cd white light day and170cd red flashing light night. 

Using solid state LED technology extends the lifetime for the light source compared to xenon flash tubes, halogen or incandescent lamps. Thereby reducing maintenance costs. 

The BT3000 medium intensity LED light has a very narrow and well defined vertical beam, leading to very low intensity below the horizontal plane. 

Microprocessor controlled driver and advanced temperature management system maintains the LED’s well within their operating condition to maintain the correct intensity. 

BT3000 operates with BC3000 Beacon Controller which features:

• Power supply and constant current sources for LED’s
• Flash character generator with programmable flash rate and duty cycle
• Photocell detector for day/night switching
• Programmable three step intensity
• GPS receiver for wireless synchronization
• Small compact size, built in powder coated aluminum housing
• Can be configured for single or dual beacon - white only - or combined white / red
