The TNC series is similar to the BNC and is in common use, but the coupling method used is a screwed thread in place of the bayonet coupling. This makes the TNC series more suitable for use on mobile applications, or in areas that may be subject to movement or vibration from other equipment or moving parts. This secure coupling also increases the recommended maximum frequency range up to 11GHz. (for the 50ohm versions)
