The SSMB series is a micro-miniature coaxial range with smaller dimensions than the SMB.  Diameter in the coupling mating area is approx 2.7mm.  It uses a snap coupling and is suitable for use up to 3 GHz.  Used  in special applications in small instruments, mobile phones, and small electronic assemblies.  Like the SMB series the female contacts are in the free plug units with male contacts in the fixed units.
 
It is used with flexible cables only in the diameter range 1.8 to 2.8mm RG178 & RG316  and similar.
