The 7/16 series RF coaxial connector range is the largest of the standardised ranges.  Used mainly on mobile equipment and radio transmission base stations it is suitable for high power high frequency signal transmission for equipment interconnection and aerial feeder transmission lines.  Also used in associated test equipment.  It is a precision weatherproof range with a threaded screw coupling and can be used for frequencies up to 7.5GHz.

The silver plated outer bodies provide the optimum RF performance, but in due course this will discolour to black as silver nitrate forms on the surface.  This will not affect the RF performance.
