Straight, long tailed lipped heatshrink boots from Glenair provide additional cable strain relief compared to standard length boots. Used for attachment to standard boot adapters, 3 variants are available.
Type 1 High Performance Elastomer:
The long tail straight lipped heat shrink boot is a semi rigid boot which performs at extreme temperatures and has excellent resistance to fuels, oils and solvents. Operating temperature from -75º to +150ºC. The heatshrink boot material meets the requirements of VG95343 Type 6, BSG 198-5-DE, EN62329-102 and SAE AS5258 Type H. These boots are suitable for military vehicles, petrochemical exploration and other demanding environments.
Type 2 Low Smoke, Zero Halogen:
The halogen free, semi flexible, long tail straight lipped heatshrink boot from Glenair is a flame retardant polyolefin boot that meets the low smoke and toxicity requirements of shipboard, transit and aircraft systems. With good resistance to oils, fuels and solvents, the low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) heat shrink boot fits most standard adapters that include M85049 and material meets the requirements of NAVSEA 5617649, VG95343 Part 29, BSG 198-5-DF, EN62329-101 and SAE AS5258 Type G. These boots provide strain relief and environmental protection to connector/ cable transitions with a temperature rating -30ºC to +125ºC.
Type 3 Polyolefin, Flexible: An economical long tail straight lipped heatshrink boot has good resistance to oils and fuels and is available with optional hot melt adhesive lining. These self-extinguishing boots provide strain relief and environmental protection to connector/ cable transitions. The polyolefin boots meet the requirements of SAE AS81765/1 Type II and are temperature rated -55ºC to +135ºC. |
