Glenair manufacture 3 types of right angle lipless boots that are used for the attachment to standard circular connector adaptors.
Type 1 High Performance Elastomer heat shrinks boots are semi rigid high performance boots that are ideal for extreme temperatures and have excellent resistance to fuels and oils. These boots are suitable for military vehicles, petrochemical exploration and other demanding environments.
Type 2 Zero Halogen, Semi Rigid heat shrink boots from Glenair are non halogenated flame retardant polyolefin boots used where limited fire hazard is required. These boots have good resistance to oils, fuels and solvents and provide strain relief and environmental protection to connector/ cable transitions with a temperature rating -30ºC to +125ºC. Available with high temperature hot melt adhesive lining.
Type 3 Polyolefin, Flexible, general purpose heat shrink boots from Glenair with no lip, for direct attachment to connectors. Having good resistance to oils and fuels, these boots are available with optional hot melt adhesive lining. These self-extinguishing boots provide strain relief and environmental protection to connector/ cable transitions. The polyolefin boots meet the requirements of SAE AS81765/1 Type II and are temperature rated -55ºC to +135ºC. |
