B3 Cable supplies a range of cable for the rail industry that consists of the CW1600, G7621, G7622 & G7623.

CW1600 cable is limited fire hazard (LFH) 1000.  CW1600 made of copper wire with 0.5mm nominal diameter conductor, polyethylene insulation, assembled into pairs. Pairs are stranded in layer or 20 pair unit construction, polyethylene terephthalate and 24 micron polyethylene/ aluminium tape with overlapping and a low smoke non-halogen compound outer sheath. This cable is low frequency for short range applications. CW1600 cable complies with BT specification CW1600 & BT “M” specification M84 Classification E.

G7621 Type 1 Trackside communications cable has plain copper wire conductors, cellular polyethylene insulation, is assembled into pairs and a violet coloured PVC outer sheath. G7621Type 1 is designed for installation in trackside bracket runs and for use within railway equipment rooms located in open locations. LUL approval specified.

G7621 Type 2 Trackside communications cable has plain copper wire conductors, cellular polyethylene insulation, assembled into pairs and a violet coloured halogen free flame retardant sheath. G7621 Type 2 is designed for installation in trackside bracket runs and for use within railway equipment rooms located in subsurface tunnels and stations. LUL approval specified.

G7622 Type 1 Trackside communications cable is made of plain copper wire conductors, cellular polyethylene insulation, assembled into quads which are stranded into concentric layers, polyester core wrap, black polyethylene sheath incorporating a longitudinally applied aluminium/ polyethylene moisture barrier, an over sheath of violet coloured PVC is applied over the inner polyethylene sheath. G7622 Type 1 cable is designed for installation in trackside bracket runs and for use with railway equipment rooms located in open locations. LUL approval specified.

G7622 Type 2 Trackside communications cable is made of plain copper wire conductors, cellular polyethylene insulation, assembled into quads which are stranded into concentric layers, polyester core wrap, and violet halogen free flame retardant sheath incorporating a longitudinally applied aluminium/ polyethylene moisture barrier.
