Alpha Wire has a range of tough, reliable, high performance wire, cable and tubing that supports the military market. Applications that the military grade cable and wire support include tactical/communications equipment, command and control systems, intelligence information systems, advanced radar units, target acquisition and tracking systems, automated weapons control, IED and mine detection, high level detection equipment, ground combat vehicles and unmanned vehicles.
Alpha uses a superior Supra Shield construction on the cable that uses a three layer aluminium/polyester/aluminium foil along with copper braid to offer exception shielding effectiveness over a wide range of frequencies.
Xtra Guard range of cable is manufactured in several performance grades to give the best match between cost, environmental and mechanical performance.
Xtra guard 1 is a high performance cable with a PVC insulation and jacket that is suited to general-purpose application.
Xtra Guard 2 is an oil and abrasion resistance cable that uses a polyurethane jacket to achieve greater oil and abrasion resistance than PVC.
Xtra Guard 4 is an advanced temperature and chemical performance cable using TPE insulation and jacket that offers a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and other chemicals
Xtra Guard 5 is a maximum temperature and chemical performance cable. FEP jacket and insulation is impervious to all chemicals and offers an extreme temperature range.
Manhattan High temperature cable is MIL-DTL-27500 Types TE and RC qualified. Using PTFE and ETFE insulation and jacket with a temperature range from -55ºC to +200ºC. 24-18AWG with 2-4 conductors.
FIT Heat Shrink tubing has PVC for 30% more strength than standard polyolefin.
PVDF for excellent abrasion and chemical resistance.
Flexible fluoroelastomer for excellent flexibility and chemical resistance over a wide temperature range. PTFE for widest temperature range, excellent chemical resistance and very thin walls.
FEP for the thinnest walls, wide temperature range and excellent temperature resistance.
Semirigid PO for additional tensile strength compared to standard PO.
